Travis Trio - Team Barrel Racing Champions!

 

The Summer, Tuesday, Barrel Series at Double B Arena, Greenfield, Iowa ended Sept 7th, 2004. The team series ran for 5 weeks. Nominated teams of 3 riders competed each week to earn points toward the 3D team standings. 5 points were given for 1st in each division, down to 1 point for a 5th place finish in each division.

 

The winning team was a mother daughter team "TRAVIS TRIO" made up of mother, Robin Travis, and daughters Jessica Travis and Jennifer Herr. They went into the final jackpot with a 5 point lead and every team member gained points at the final jackpot giving them a win by 6 points. Beautiful Lone Star Silversmith Buckles were awarded to the team champions by BB Arena owner, and sister/aunt of the team, Renea Bolling.

 

The US Rodeo Supply #1 team gave the TRAVIS TRIO a run for their money with team member Heather Stuva riding two horses for the team winning both the 1D & the 2D earning 10 points for her team giving them a total of 34 points for the series and a 2nd place finish.

 

Renea Bolling commented, "This was a really fun series that we hope to do again next year. It was nice to see everybody pulling for each other."
