Double B Arena-- Owners
Lee Bob, Renea and Ramsey Bolling
Greenfield, Iowa
OUR FACILITY
We are located in SW Iowa (about 50
minutes SW of Des Moines). Our facility has an indoor arena 120'x200'
with roping chute and runback alley. The actual arena size is
100x200' (there is a 20' overhang where you can come in on your
horse - or sit in bleachers, etc) By fall we will have constructed
our new announcers stand and concession stand inside. The ground
is EXCELLENT and we offer both a center alley (run in) and a side
gate entrance to the arena.
Our outdoor arena is 100x300'. It also
includes roping boxes and a runback alley for cattle. There is
also a round-pen available for use next to the outdoor arena.
Still under construction at this time
are the restrooms and electrical hook-ups, and more rocked areas
for parking, which we hope to have completed by fall 2003.
OWNERS
Renea Beech Bolling - grew up in Ankeny,
Iowa, where she has ridden and shown horses since the age of 2.
Her family was very involved in showing quarter horses and rodeo.
Renea competed in most events in high school and collegiate rodeo,
where she competed on the rodeo team for Iowa State University,
and helped to start the rodeo team when she transferred to NWMSU
in the fall of 1990. She has competed in rodeos since 1980,
when she started traveling to URA rodeos with her older sister Becki. While
in high school, she began assisting with riding lessons while
working for a quarter horse trainer in Ankeny, Iowa, and has continued
to give lessons since 1988 and has experience in many horse show
and rodeo events. She enjoys competing in rodeos - breakaway
roping, team roping and barrel racing, starting young horses on
barrels and giving riding lessons. A NWMSU alumni, she is also
the owner (and producer) of Double B Productions (Beech-Bolling)
which produces the Barrel Bash series.
Lee Bob Bolling - is the co-owner of
Double B Arena. He grew up in Corydon, Iowa, where he spent many
hours learning to rope at the Allerton arena. He also competed
in both high school (in both cr, sw and team roping) and collegiate
rodeo (Ft Scott, KS). And is past IRCA team roping director and
champion, and URA reserve team roping champion. He enjoys training
rope horses and rodeoing. He is currently taking a limited number
of horses for rope horse training.
Both Lee Bob and Renea take pride in
the horses they train. You are guaranteed satisfaction. References
are available for both. Follow-up lessons are encouraged and included
in the training so that you can follow-through with the training
after YOU get home. Private lessons are also available $25 per
hour or $40/hour with cattle.
("We believe in
training both riders and horses")
